Four samples of Ilmenite were presented for elemental analysis using the RTI Allscan PGNAA through belt test rig. The test was a preliminary one to demonstrate capability and measurement resolution for this application.
A comparative XRF laboratory assay was also undertaken for each sample to compare elements present to those that the PGNAA gauge could identify. The assay tables are presented at the end of the report. In brief, the Allscan gauge was capable of discriminating between all four samples over at the five minute sample period.
