With these particular critical minerals, because of the low concentrations usually at play, the identification of other secondary or complementary elements/components and, of course, rogue elements are just as – if not even more – important in achieving the highest possible levels of productivity and efficiency. These elements/components – like moisture – can often lead to too high a use of energy – so identification and then contingent action is vital.

Additionally, with such traditionally low concentrations, extracting every possible trace of target elements is crucial, and this has presented RTI with the chance to work with customers in finding high-value solutions by analysing tailings.
