The samples were supplied by the client in three 200L drums. Each drum contained approximately 140kg of material. The samples arrived in Mackay in a waterlogged state and were sent to a local laboratory from drying and homogenisation as per RTI specification. Each sample was then weighed into 12kg lots, each of which were bagged in a LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene) tube bag and heat seal at 1m in length. The final dimensions of each of the bags were approximately 1000x200x50mm. For each sample 10 bags were selected to represent a full belt loading of 120kg/m. Each of the bags was labelled with its sample and bag number. The sample is bagged in this manner to match the strict criteria of our calibration process.
